Respect can lead to beauty.
Beauty has order. Even in chaos…or war.
But respect…signifies honor. A personal constitution.
A decency that doesn’t quit. So what’s a salute?
Well…do you see how the sun salutes the moon every morning?
Only to be saluted by the moon on its way back down, to the other side of the earth?
It’s loyal. It’s consistent. It’s always.
Salute is a respect for the history. For blood that flowed, and once stained a flag.
It’s the hard work. Do you know? It’s for that order I mentioned;
Of a system, a society and a nation.
I’ll fight for you, damn it. I’ll salute you, but I got your back too.
You are my brother, my sister, and my loved one.
You are my confidant. And I fucking love you.
I salute you, America. For all you stand for.
Don’t lose your faith. The roar will be back.
People just need to come around again. You know…be reminded of what they can lose.
