Into the Mediterranean

Oh, you blustery giant.
You behemoth of constant, churning wonder.
You domineering brute!
Your frosty tips enchant.
Your energy moves.
Your life inspires.
You are the lightning rod of culture – and frivolity of mortal time.
Treading carefully betwixt your beautiful eruptions.
Like the orgiastic gathering of underlings that pull man down;
The heathens of the world of whom you have cleansed,
And scrubbed till only their scales are left behind.
Staring into you throws back many faces.
Mirth bellows from within.
I swim in your depths every day,
following my figurative horizon…
you know me.
