La Puerta Del Sol

The meeting.
It had been 7 long years since my eyes rested inside yours.
I replayed over and over, how perfectly you fit in my arms when we hugged.
How, when we spoke, our empathetic tones always matched.
How you always made me feel.
How I always felt around you.

I wanted to write this before we met again.
To see how accurate it would be.
What I envision: No change.
My love is at the same frequency,
And it will flourish when I see you…again.
You see me. You come to me. We’re both smiling.
I forget I’m holding a rose for you because I’m so swept up in your beauty.
Everything beams off you. My heart immediately recognizes you, and responds.
We kiss before we embrace. For a long time.
When I open my eyes, I notice people are watching us, with smiles on their faces.
I tell you, “I love you.”

So this is what really happened:
You saw me. You came to me. We were both smiling.
I forgot I was holding a rose for you because I got so swept up in your beauty.
Everything beamed off you. My heart immediately recognized you, and responded.
We kissed before we embraced. For a very, very long time.
When I opened my eyes, I noticed people were watching us, with smiles on their faces.
You told me you love me. Before I could tell you.
